Kimberly and Jason, along with their adorable daughter, Ana, will soon meet the newest member of their beautiful family, Alexander James. Everything about this little boy is special and to say I am honored to have captured these moments with his family would be the understatement of the century.  I hope I was able to capture even just a fraction of the strength and love these two have for each other and their children.

"God only gives you what you can handle" - I have heard people quote that a thousand times, and I have even joked about the irony of it when Evelyn takes off running and I have Violet in her infant seat and have to make chase after Evelyn, in heels with the infant seat hanging off my arm, poor little V along for the ride (err, run), and me scared to death that E might run out into the parking lot before I get to her.  But that is nothing compared to what God has in store for Alexander and his family.

Please say a prayer for Alexander.  His birthday will be October 20th.  The day will be beautiful, as with any baby's birth, but it will also be filled with emotions most of us couldn't even fathom.  His family will hold him for the first and last time that day.  My wish for Alexander is that he knows that in such a short time, he brought so much love and light into an otherwise dark circumstance.  Selfishly, I can say that I have a renewed faith given the strength and grace displayed by Jason and Kimberly.  I have hugged my babies tighter and told them I loved them what feels like a thousand times a day, up from maybe a hundred times before ;-)

Now - let's put a face to the name!  Here is the beautiful mama spending some precious quiet moments with Alexander.  Poor Kimberly - I had her trek through some serious mud to get this shot!  But how could I resist?!  That grass, so lush and green, the red barn in the distance, and that opening in the trees seemed meant to frame her and her beautiful baby bump ;-)

Ana wanted to get in on the action!  Kimberley is enjoying some snuggle time with both her babies...
