Earlier in the season, I went a little (ok, A LOT) out of my comfort zone and photographed...
Wait for it...
Inanimate objects :-)
As in, not a squishy, sleepy, and oh so precious newborn, and not a rambunctious, precocious, adorable and chatty toddler. Those tiny humans are what drives me - I love the challenge, I love the sweetness, I love capturing their personalities and freezing them in time.
But, back to coming out of my comfort zone... What better duo to work with than the lovely ladies of Society Blooms with DIY?! They are the most talented and creative duo I know - their floral design is nothing short of amazing and I love how they incorporate unique and surprising details. Philter Coffee, located in the heart of Kennett Square, served as our backdrop and it worked out beautifully.
The arrangement showcased well inside too! And this copper rose - PERFECTION! It blended right in but also added a pop of the unexpected.
More close-ups of the floral artistry and unique place setting arrangement.
I love the texture this placemat and how it offsets the softness of the florals. The fusion of styles worked perfectly!
Another close-up of these natural beauties...
I couldn't resist - Jessica and Deb, captured in action! (Remember, I usually photograph the moving targets!)
The floral design and place setting arrangements were stunning! Not to mention I have a love for copper and these beauties couldn't have been displayed more perfectly in the custom-made planter by W.H. Laird Roofing.
We worked with different angles, balancing the natural light with the cafe lights, and vibe of the space. We played around with different set-ups and captured many angles of the featured styles with the main goal of capturing the uniqueness and beauty of the designs.
This next set-up incorporated an iridescent palette, and whats not to love about that?! Natural shimmer in the flowers with the tones of the place setting complemented each other perfectly!
Chemistry lesson time! The chemical formula for caffeine - who knew?!
I could sit in this space all day long with a chai latte or an affogato - YUM!
Working with a small business and artists bringing together all this beauty was so much fun!
Thank you, Society Blooms and Philter!
